BUILDING STONE

Baumstein stands for durable furniture elements made from first-class materials. Each coffee table is unique, made from fossil stone wood in combination with a custom-made bronze frame.

The timeless design of the bronze frame is deliberately minimalist in order to give the unmistakable nature of the stone wood the necessary space. The effect of each of these unique pieces is revealed in their shape, color and structure and ultimately in the viewer's awareness of encountering fossil witnesses of the earth's history.

MASTERPIECES
MADE OF STONEWOOD

The structure and shape of the tree trunk have been preserved throughout all the fossilization processes. Mineral components create the slight shimmer and glitter of the surfaces. Iron oxides color the wood red or brown. Cobalt and chromium give it a blue-green color.

The undersides of the stonewood table tops were deliberately left unfinished to preserve the pure, natural character of the sequoia.
